(A review of Footloose)My Favorite Quote! Ren: You like Men At Work? Willard: what men? Ren: Men at work. Willard: well where do they work? Ren: No, they're a music group. Willard: well what do they call themselves? Ren: Oh no! What about the Police? Willard: What about 'em? Ren: You ever heard them? Willard: No, but I seen them. Ren: Where, in concert? Willard: No, behind you. Footloose is such a terrific movie. From the shoe-stomping opening credits to its down and dirty small town ways, I love it so much. Ren McCormack and his mom just moved to Bomont and he's having trouble fitting in. When he hears about the no dancing/no loud music laws, Ren (Kevin Bacon) knows he can make a difference. With the help of Ariel (Lori Singer), his dream of a senior prom becomes a reality. I'd reccommend this film to anyone who enjoys a passionate yet fun-filled story, along with a great soundtrack! 0 comments, Reply to this entry
She's The Voice In My Head

(A review of Two Weeks Notice)I have to say that I really enjoy watching this movie. The hilarious dialog and individual characters make this movie worth seeing again and again. I'll admit that its your typical romantic comedy but it also shows deeper issues as well. The fact that money and power comes with a lot of responsibilty is one. Or that people always arent what they seem. Its very cool to watch the development. Sandra Bullock, of course, is amazing. Coupled with the charming Hugh Grant, these two have great chemistry. Hugh's character especially makes me laugh because of his pathetic banter with Sandra on which tie he should wear and whatnot. Very amusing. 0 comments, Reply to this entry

(A review of The Forbidden Kingdom)Ok, so I'm not an expert when it comes to martial arts movies, but this one I liked. I happen to be a fan of Jackie Chan so it was really fun seeing him in another movie, besides the Rush Hours. The setting was beautiful and I thought the aspiring boy actor, Michael Angarano, did a good job as the clueless hero. I also liked Jet Li's characters, although I am not all that familiar with his previous movies. This movie was hilarious and quite enjoyable. I really liked it. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
The Art Of Crime

(A review of How to Steal a Million)My favorite Quote! Simon Dermott: Why must it be this particular work of art? Nicole Bonnet: You don't think I'd steal something that didn't belong to me, do you? Simon Dermott: Excuse me, I spoke without thinking. I absolutely adore this movie! Its my favorite Audrey Hepburn movie of all time. Nicole Bonnet is the daughter of a millionaire who makes his living faking masterpeices. Her father recently loans their Cellini Venus (a fake done by her grandfather), to an art museum. When they find out that it will be tested at a technical examination, Nicole takes matters into her own hands. She recruits a "handsome, blue-eyed ruffian", Simon Dermott, to help her steal back the Venus. And the rest I'll leave a mystery. But I definitely recommend this movie to anyone who loves a good solid plot and hilarious dialog. 0 comments, Reply to this entry

(A review of 10 Things I Hate About You)I really don't know how many times I've watched this movie, but it never gets old. 10 things I Hate About You is a modern version of The Taming of the Shrew by William Shakespeare. Before I watched this movie, I had not seen The Taming of the Shrew. Regrettably, I still haven't seen it, but 10 Things I Hate About You was awesome all the same. On the surface this movie may seem to be some highschool chick flick. But it really isn't. Patrick Verona, played by Heath Ledger, is one of the main characters who pursues Kat Stratford, played by Julia Stiles. In what started out as a buisness deal, he finds himself falling for Kat. Well, I'll leave the rest up to you to find out. Julia Stiles is amazing. She is one of my favorite actresses. This movie is definitely not an ordinary chick flick. It took a work by an amazing playwright and set it in a modern sense, making the movie truly spectacular. 0 comments, Reply to this entry

(A review of Ferris Bueller's Day Off)The last time I watched this movie my mom walked by and was like, "Why do you like that movie? Isn't it just about skipping out on school?" YES! Thats why is so freakin sweet. But I'm not gonna lie to you the fact that Matthew Broderick is a total cutie is an added bonus. Its great to see the masters at work when it comes to ditching school and changing grades, all while having the time of your life and not getting caught! Ha! Ferris is so cool. His whole view on life is really admirable. Oh, and Cameron, his best friend, is so funny. He feels so angry inside but he doesnt really realize that Ferris is just trying to loosen him up! Ok, ok so he may be taking advantage of him for the most part, but I think he means well. Well, whatever this movies crazy cool. My favorite part is when Ferris sings "Twist And Shout!" I just gotta dance! :P 0 comments, Reply to this entry

(A review of How I Met Your Mother)This show just cracks me up. I mean, the characters are so cool, and the jokes are knee-slappin hilarious! I think Barney is my favorite. He may be a bit self-obsessed but he is totally confident and thats so great! Of course, I dont approve of the way he goes through women, but he has a heart...deep inside. Anyway, the whole feel of the show is terrific as well. Its really cool how Ted is telling the story to his kids of how he met their mother. It just adds more interest into figuring out whose the lucky woman! Overall, I'd recommend this show to anyone who loves a good laugh and a lot of fun! 0 comments, Reply to this entry

(A review of MMHMM)I remember when I first got this CD. It actually was the first Relient K CD I got. Yeah, I got them out of order, but whatever. I went on a long car trip and I just listened to it late at night, on a windy road. (I cant fall asleep in cars.) Anyway, I remember just listening to the words of each song and really hearing it. You know? The words just struck me. I cant really remember what song I was actually listening to but I really felt the presence of God right then. I mean, Matt was singing from the heart. It was amazing. I will never forget that night or this CD. It was really truely awesome. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
Not As Bad As It Should Be

(A review of Moulin Rouge)Ok so when you first watch this movie, it may seem girly and dumb. I mean, the songs are not original, and the storyline is a bit cheesy. But I gotta say, I did like it. Alright, yes, I did fast forward the Like A Virgin remix part, (Gosh, that was really creepy.) But beyond that, this movie really gets to me. I mean the the whole point of it is "The Greatest Thing You'll Ever Learn Is Just To Love And Be Loved In Return." How sweet is that! Alright, alright call me a hopeless romantic but I loved this movie. Ok?!? Deal with it. :P 0 comments, Reply to this entry
